16-year-old killed in Franklin County crash

(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) -- A teenager was killed in a crash in Franklin County on Thursday.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Highland Center Road.
The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old male from Liberty.
Crash investigators say the driver was traveled southbound when his pickup truck left the road for unknown reasons.
"The driver overcorrected, causing the pick-up to cross the road and go off of the east side of the roadway over an embankment. The pick-up truck rolled several times, ejecting the teen," deputies said.
Franklin County Deputies were assisted in their investigation by the Indiana State Police, Indiana State Excise Police, Brookville and New Trenton Volunteer Fire Departments, the Franklin County Coroner’s Office,and Letts EMS.
