Birthday celebration for 99-year-old WWII vet in Lawrenceburg Friday

(LAWRENCEBURG, Ind.) – Community members are invited to a special birthday party in Lawrenceburg on Friday, April 11.  

World War II veteran George Klopp Sr. will celebrate his 99th birthday. 

Klopp is well-known in the community and is one of just four surviving WWII soldiers in Dearborn County. 

The party will be held at noon on Friday at Lawrenceburg Eagles which is located at 334 Lake Street. 

Klopp’s actual birthday is Sunday, April 13 but the celebration is taking place Friday.
