(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – The Decatur County Community Foundation (DCCF) is recognizing a local couple for their vast volunteerism in the area.
Paul and RoJeanna Pank have been named recipients of the 2025 Stephen Decatur Award.
The award recognizes volunteers who go above and beyond to make a difference in Decatur County. A recipient is not necessarily named every year, making the award that much more prestigious.
“Paul and RoJeanna are the perfect example of what the Stephen Decatur award represents,” said DCCF Executive Director, Tami Wenning. “The love and generosity they have shown this community is legendary, and we can never thank them enough for their impact.”
They have given back to organizations including New Directions, Decatur County YMCA, Greensburg/Decatur County Chamber of Commerce, WIC, Decatur County Community Foundation, Arc of Decatur County, St. Mary’s Church, Knights of Columbus, Greensburg Kiwanis, Decatur County Historical Society, Tree County Players, Decatur County Memorial Hospital and more.
The Panks are the 22nd recipients of the Stephen Decatur Award.
Past award winners include Herb Scheidler, William O. Smith, The Robbins Family, Burney and Lucy Lehman, Jim and Jere’ Sturges, Linda Volk, Bill and Marjorie Hunter, Dale and Sharon Crites, Mary Demaree, Mike Gasper, John Corya, Sheila Doerflinger, Bob Scheidler, Joe and Susan Rust, David Miers, Rick and Mary Johnson, Bob Cupp, David J.
