Happened while tending cattle Monday

(SUNMAN, Ind.) – A Sunman woman was tending cattle when she was attacked by a cow last Monday morning.
A newborn calf ran toward Angel Hartman and that's when its mother saw her as a threat and attacked.
Hartman was rushed to Margaret Mary Health and later airlifted to the University of Cincinnati with life-threatening injuries.
She has a long road ahead that will require multiple surgeries and rehabilitation.
Family and friends have rallied around Angel by creating a fundraiser for the upcoming medical expenses.
They hope community members and those in the local agriculture world can lend a hand.
Angel and her husband, Max, have four children and they are members of St. Nicholas Catholic Church while also heavily involved in the community including 4-H.
