EC senior collecting donations for local foster kids

Items can be dropped off at East Central High School

(ST. LEON, Ind.) – An East Central senior is hoping to make a difference in the lives of local foster children. 

Kara Rowland is seeking donations to fill First Night Bags that she distributes to the children.

Socks, snacks, tote bags, hygiene products, makeup, and feminine products are some of the items she is collecting. 

Items can be dropped at East Central High School and they are due by February 3.

This is the fourth straight year Rowland has initiated the project and it is part ot her Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) class.
