Fundraiser launched for Rising Sun kindergartner battling rare disorder

'Weston's Warriors' t-shirt fundraiser created

(RISING SUN, Ind.) – Community members are rallying to support a Rising Sun kindergartner who is facing a rare neurological disorder. 

Weston James was diagnosed with a Gullian-Barre’ Syndrome, which is a condition that happens when a person’s own immune system harms their body’s nerves. 

“Weston was placed on a ventilator, but thankfully, he has made significant enough progress and is now stable enough to have it removed,” the organizer of a Go Fund Me fundraiser said. 

It will still be a long road to recovery and there is a significant need for medical expenses, living costs and other unforeseen needs.
