(MACON, GA.) – An nonprofit organization in Macon, Georgia has created a unique event ahead of the Super Bowl.
They have partnered with several Macon restaurants for the inaugural 'Souper Bowl of Caring.'
Community members are encouraged to dine at one of the selected restaurants this weekend.
Five percent of the proceeds will be donated to Loaves & Fishes Ministry, a nonprofit that helps improve the lives of the less fortunate and homeless in the Macon area.
There will also be a block party on Sunday where residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations.
