Gift cards requested as Bright mom battles cancer for third time

(BRIGHT, Ind.) – A Dearborn County wife and mom is facing her third battle with cancer as family and friends rally around her. 

A meal train/gift card donation drive has been launched for Mollie Stauter’s family as she undergoes chemotherapy. 

“The week following treatment is especially challenging, as she experiences fatigue, a lack of appetite, and several other side effects that make daily tasks feel overwhelming,” said Jessica Kallmeyer who organized the meal train. 

"To help alleviate some of the stress for Mollie and her family, we’re organizing a Meal Train. Providing a warm meal or even a gift card to a local restaurant will make a significant difference," she added.

Organizers are now asking for gift cards rather than meal donations, out of an abundance of caution to not bring extra germs into their house.
