Ceremony was attended by family and friends in Indianapolis
(INDIANAPOLIS) – Greensburg resident Anthony Scott addressed the crowd moments after he was sworn in to lead the Indiana State Police on Monday.
The longtime state trooper began his comments by thanking the previous ISP administration as well as the newly-inaugurated governor for appointing Scott as Superintendent.
“I want to thank Governor Braun for taking a shot on a small town kid like myself. It means the world to me and I’ll never be able to repay you,” Scott said.
He also thanked his family as well as fellow Indiana State Trooper Chris Hill.
Scott spoke for several minutes about what the role means to him while taking time to share the importance of the Indiana State Police and those who have made tremendous sacrifices wearing the uniform.
Decatur County was well represented at the swearing in ceremony.
Some attendees included Decatur County Sheriff Bill Meyerrose, Decatur County Prosecutor Nate Harter, retired ISP Detective Pete Tressler, and Decatur County Jail Commander Mike Eggleston.
