Greensburg teen who attends Columbus North to compete for IHSAA wrestling title

Wrestling State Championship takes place Friday

(COLUMBUS, Ind.) – A Greensburg resident who attends Columbus North will be competing in the IHSAA Wrestling State Championship this weekend.

Justice Thornton has earned a 28-5 record this season and he has qualified for the state championship for the past three seasons. 

He is currently ranked sixth in Indiana in the 138lb weight class. 

The senior commutes from Greensburg to Columbus North everyday and has several friends and family who live in Greensburg. 

The IHSAA Wrestling State Championship takes place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday and The 812 will be covering it, as Thornton is one of seven local wrestlers who will be competing.
