(MILAN, Ind.) – A local nonprofit provided free self-defense classes to high school girls on Thursday.
Hoosier Girl Defense was created four years ago by Amy Jelenik and Kara Shane of Batesville.
It relies solely on donations and grants and their goal is to provide self-defense to young women before they go to college or the workforce.

Thursday’s class was taught by Jeff Frederickson, of Fishers who owns Krav Maga Worldwide.
