(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Local post offices will be closed Thursday as part of a national day of mourning for former President Jimmy Carter.
The executive order declares that all post offices, federal agencies, and the stock market is closed during the funeral for the 39th President.
The last time a National Day of Mourning was issued was in 2018 for the funeral for former President George H.W. Bush.
