Student rode bike to school for the past four years

(BATON ROUGE, LA.) – A Louisiana high schooler got a well-deserved surprise during his basketball team’s Senior Night this past week.
Kentrell Taylor is a senior at IDEA Bridge Schools in Baton Rouge.
In addition to being a student-athlete, he is an honor roll student, enrolled in the CNA program, serves as a volunteer tutor, and has represented the school on various healthcare and law enforcement panels.
Taylor does all of that while being forced to ride his bicycle to and from school everyday.
That changed this past week when the school surprised him with his own vehicle.
It was made possible through school administrators as well as a towing company, who donated the car and covered the costs of tax, title and licensing.
Taylor plans to pursue a career in law enforcement or nursing after high school.
