Milan man killed in head-on crash on S.R. 350

Happened Wednesday night

(MILAN, Ind.) – One man was killed after a head-on collision in Milan on Wednesday night.
The crash happened around 7: 15 p.m. in the 8000 block of State Road 350.
ISP Troopers say a van driven by 62-year-old George Frith, of Milan, was traveling westbound when it crossed the centerline and struck another vehicle nearly head-on.
Frith passed away as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, 31-year-old Shelby Young, of Aurora, had an infant in her vehicle. Both she and the infant were treated for minor injuries.
State Road 350 was closed for approximately four hours for crash investigation and cleanup.
The crash remains under investigation with toxicology results pending.
Agencies on scene included the Indiana State Police, the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department, Milan Police Department, Milan Fire Department, Aurora Fire Department, Moores Hill Fire Department and EMS, Ripley County EMS, and Ripley County Coroner’s Office.
