NWS: 2-4” of snow possible on Friday

“With temperatures remaining below freezing, pavement surfaces will become slick."

(GREENSBURG, Ind.) – We haven’t experienced temperatures above the freezing mark since Friday and that likely won’t change for several days.

Wednesday night is the coldest night of the winter with a low temperature of -4. It will be a bitterly cold Thursday morning with wind chills near zero.

Temperatures will likely not exceed 30 degrees for the rest of the week as another winter storm bears down on the area.

The National Weather Service is forecasting snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches through Friday.

“With temperatures remaining below freezing, pavement surfaces will become slick. The snow will affect the Friday afternoon and evening commute,” NWS forecasters said.

Chad Gutzwiler with Weather Wave echoes similar predictions in regard to the anticipated snowfall amount.

Looking ahead to next week, there is a possibility for snow on Monday morning with temperatures mostly staying below 30 degrees.
