(TRAVERSE CITY, MI.) – New technology helped police find a man who was hiding after a car crash in northern Michigan.
Grand Traverse County deputies were called to the scene of a crash that the driver had ran away from.
The deputies used a thermal imaging drone to locate the driver. They also deployed a K-9 to search the area where the driver had been hiding.
The K-9 located a backpack that was hidden in snow. Police say the backpack contained drugs and two guns.
A 52-year-old man was arrested on several charges.
