RSRF grants $236K to 10 local organizations

Next grant cycle closes April 15

(RISING SUN, Ind.) –The Rising Sun Regional Foundation is granting a total of $236,842 to 10 local organizations. 


Applications for the next grant cycle are due on April 15 and you can get more information by clicking here.


Here are the recipients of this grant cycle:


  • $4,000 to Batesville Music Boosters for a drum cart and field equipment;

  • $5,000 to City of Rising Sun for an employee handbook;

  • $40,000 to Ohio County Rescue Services for a cardiac monitor upgrade;

  • $40,000 to Ohio County Youth Development for 4-H swine pens replacement;

  • $30,000 to Osgood Police Department for an improvement plan;

  • $27,000 to Rising Sun Municipal Utilities for a sewer influent pump replacement;

  • $24,842 to Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation for signage;

  • $21,000 to Rising Sun Ohio County Emergency Services Board for air handling units;

  • $40,000 to Town of Sunman for equipment for safer roads; and,

  • $5,000 to Tyson Library Association for a new computer server.


The Rising Sun Regional Foundation serves Ohio County, Ripley County, and the cities of Aurora and Batesville. The Rising Sun Regional Foundation was created in 1994 by the City of Rising Sun and is now funded by the Rising Star Casino & Resort, which makes monthly contributions to the Foundation based on a percentage of its Adjusted Gross Revenue
