Six cases of measles confirmed in Indiana

All cases are in Allen County as of now

(FORT WAYNE, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Health is investigating measles cases.
There have been six confirmed case in Allen County. That appears to be the only county affected as of now.
“The current reported cases are connected to each other but at this time there are no known links to outbreaks in other states,” the agency said.
Measles is caused by a highly contagious virus that spreads easily from person to person. It is an airborne disease, meaning it spreads through the air when an infected person breathes, coughs, sneezes, or talks.
