(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – The South Dearborn Knights are raising funds for the Special Olympics ahead of the Polar Plunge.
Head coach Rand Ballart stopped by Polar Plunge last year to support Special Olympics athlete Kieran McKeever who is a freshman at South Dearborn.
Now the school is rallying behind McKeever as well as South Dearborn's Parker Seaver by organizing a fundraiser!
If you're unfamiliar with Polar Plunge, it requires people to brave the frigid temperatures of Versailles State Park Lake to raise money for Special Olympics.
In regards to fundraising, South Dearborn will have some competition on their hands as they raised about $2,300 last year but South Ripley raised more than $10,000!
It will take place at Versailles State Park at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15.
Here is a link to support South Dearborn as they hope to take home the first-place prize in honor of Kieran and Parker.
