Held off Oldenburg on Saturday afternoon

(SHELBYVILLE, Ind.) – South Decatur came into the Regional game as 12-point underdogs on Saturday.
The Lady Cougars had a 15-11 record on the season and had a big test against the Oldenburg Academy Twisters who are 21-4.
It was a close game throughout but the Twisters did make it a 38-37 game with 1:00 in the fourth quarter.
Cougars senior Makayala Somers hit two crucial free throws to extend it to a 40-37 lead.
Oldenburg's Hannah Haverkos hit two free throws to make it a 40-39 game with :06 left in the game.
The Twisters had one more chance as they threw up an unsuccessful buzzer beater as time expired.
The Cougars will find out their Semi-State opponent on Sunday afternoon.
