Hosted bake sales to collect monetary donations

(BATESVILLE, Ind.) – Three St. Louis seventh graders have went above-and-beyond to help people in Haiti.
St. Louis participates in a service project for their twin parish in Haiti every Lent.
The students are given rice bowls to collect spare change and the money is donated to the church in Gandou, Haiti.
Seventh graders Lucy Brelage, Kristen Obermeyer and Lydia Dwyer came up with an idea to help out even more.
The students hosted a bake sale at some home basketball games. They baked brownies and cookies and sold them for a free will offering.
The girls raised more than $90 which will be given directly to the twin parish in Haiti.
