Trp. Weigel named ISP Versailles "Trooper of the District"

Recognized for his work ethic

(VERSAILLES, Ind.) – A local Indiana State Police trooper is being recognized for his work ethic.
Trp. Brian Weigel has been named the "2024 Trooper of the District" or the ISP Versailles Post.
He has served with ISP for the past two-and-a-half years.
In 2024, he responded to more than 1,200 calls which resulted in 97 arrests, including 20 for DUI.
He was nominated by his supervisor for his “attitude and work ethic” as well as the relationships he has built in the area.
After being nominated, command staff at the Versailles Post unanimously picked Trp. Weigel to receive the award.
“Trp. Weigel’s work ethic and dedication to the mission of the Indiana State Police has made him worthy of this award. He continues to be an asset to the Indiana State Police and the communities that he serves,” said ISP Versailles Post Commander Lt. Paul Adams.
