(GREENSBURG, Ind.) — South Decatur is celebrating two historic achievements in their basketball programs.
Karson Templeton is on the boy’s team and set a school record for the most three pointers in a single game on Thursday.
He scored eight three pointers in the first 16 minutes of the game against Christian Academy of Madison. The previous school record was seven three’s in a game.
“Templeton led the Cougars with smart, confident basketball. With no plays ran specifically for him, his vision precision and natural rhythm on the court spoke volumes leading the Cougar Way,” his coach said.
Karson was recognized on Saturday night during the home game against Greensburg.
On the girl’s side, senior Makayla Somers continues to leave her mark on the athletic program.
During the game against Trinity Lutheran on Saturday, Somers earned her 800th rebound which is now second all-time for the Lady Cougars.
