UPDATE: All dogs have been placed in temporary homes.
ORIGINAL STORY:
(BROOKVILLE, Ind.) – There is an urgent need to find placement for Franklin County shelter dogs due to the rising river.
The staff is concerned about approaching water levels and fear the shelter is going to flood.
“We desperately need fosters for a few days at least until the water goes down, with how quickly the water has come to the road we would not be surprised if the shelter starts flooding overnight,” they said.
“We have a lot of dog friendly dogs and will supply everything they would need for the next few days if you are able to foster”

They hope to have the dogs placed by tonight.
